How to Live Boot into Kali Linux using a USB Flash drive (Kali Linux Live)
Today I will give a tutorial on we can boot into Kali Linux using a USB Flash drive. Making a Kali Bootable USB Drive. Booting into Kali Linux by using a USB Flash drive is much easier than that of using any Virtual Machine. I this process we don’t need to install Kali Linux, we don’t have to go through a long process to set up Kali. In this tutorial, we will be live booting into Kali Linux that means no installation will be required. We can get out of Kali and get back to our OS whenever we want after our work is finished.
So to Boot into Kali you need to have a bootable USB Flash Drive. If you don’t know how to make a Pendrive bootable, then visit this Link. Here in this Link, I have given a complete tutorial on how you can make your USB Flash Drive bootable.
After you have made your USB Flash Drive bootable, you have to go into Boot Menu. The Boot Menu is a menu accessible when a computer is first starting up. When a computer is starting up, the user can access the boot menu by pressing one of several keyboard keys. Common keys for accessing the boot menu are Esc, F2, F10 or F12 depending on the manufacturer of the computer or motherboard. The specific key to press is usually specified on the computer’s startup screen. So restart or start up your machine and get into Boot Menu by pressing the specific key.
Note:- The keys to enter into Boot Menu differ from computer to computer. So to know the correct key to enter into Boot Menu surf in Google for it.
# Step 1:-
Once you are in the Boot Menu, you can see several options like CD/DVD, Flash or Hard Drives, USB etc.
Select USB/Removable Device as a Booting device.
# Step 2:-
Now, you will see many options. Select Live (686-pae) or Live (amd64) according to your image’s architecture and hit enter. Then it will start managing all the things and make Kali ready for use. It won’t take much time though many codes are shown. It show’s something like this:

Then your Kali will be loaded successfully. Now you can use all the features of Kali. Now you can use all the pre-installed penetration testing software. You will see a window of Kali like this:
Try doing some cool things with Kali like cracking, breaking into networks, capturing packets and see what other’s were seeing/surfing by viewing the packets, cracking password etc.
